Day Twelve: Thursday 7th January

Omelette for breakfast, and a renewed, daring attempt to drink some coffee (attempt rapidly abandoned after first sip for fear of damage to internal organs). The boat set sail for Tortola, pulling into the bay at Road Town, now quite familiar territory to us. We wandered about on Road Town but quickly got bored as there’s really very little to do. We took some video footage and then headed back to the boat, where lunch (shepherd’s pie, another American stalwart) awaited us. Dinner consisted of a barbecue and fancy dress party with a disco on deck. This was a riot, and gave everyone an excuse to don ridiculous outfits and prance around deck to the disco-fevered sounds of the 70’s and 80’s. Tremendous fun and the barbecue (choice of fish or steak with garlic potato and salad) was very good, too.
